Head of Sixth Form, Stephanie Whitaker, said:
“What we celebrate today is something more than a grade in an envelope. We celebrate the people that our students are and the value and inspiration they brought to the sixth form and wider community. Their intellect, talent, kindness and generosity of spirit are what makes them special as individuals and a year group. We know that they will go on to have a significant and positive impact on the lives of those around them, both near and far. Our Year 13s are an absolute credit to their families, the school but most importantly themselves. We wish them all the luck in the world as they embark on the next stage of their lives.”
Dr Janice Gorlach, Executive Headteahcer and Deputy CEO of the North East Learning Trust, who sponsor Hermitage Academy added:
“We are incredibly proud of our Year 13 students who demonstrated such grit and determination throughout their time with us. It is this, that we celebrate today alongside their hard work which has been rewarded with excellent results. Seeing our students so happy with their results and achieve their chosen university place or secure employment is a real privilege.”
